It is with great pleasure we take this time to invite you to get involved in our upcoming 2nd annual Casa Amor Gala & Silent Auction. This event will be held June 17, 2011 at the JW Marriot in Brickell Ave. Miami, and we are pleased to announce that Laurie Jennings from Channel 10 News will be our Master of Ceremonies.

Casa Amor is a faith based 501(c) (3)organization dedicated to sheltering, feeding and educating orphaned children all over the world. With this event we hope to raise enough funds to move on to the 2nd Phase of the Village in the Dominican Republic.

Your involvement today can change a child’s life. Please help us by either attending the event, becoming a sponsor or by donating an item or service that we can sell in our silent auction.

Every Child deserves food, shelter and an education. Please help us to ensure that they receive these basic needs.

Casa Amor Hosts 2nd Annual Gala to Raise Funds for the Dominican Republic’s Orphaned Children

Miami, Florida, June 8, 2010 – Casa Amor, a non-profit organization committed to providing orphans with life’s most basic needs, will hold their 2nd Annual Gala on Friday the 17th of June, at the J.W. Marriott on Brickell Ave.   The event, hosted by WPLG’s leading news anchor, Laurie Jennings, will generate funding to construct the organizations second school which will provide an education for 300 children and housing for over 100.

Our Gala Theme Song “All We Need Is Love” will be performed by Casa Amor Children’s Club accompanied in a Live presentation by Across the Universe Band. Renowned Photographer Carlos Aristizabal and Videographer, Renato Lombardi will take you on an inspirational tour through Santo Domingo, and what Casa Amor is really all about.

The Silent Auction list keeps growing as the event nears. There will be Art, Luxury Resorts Get-Away Weekends, Designer Jewelry, Gourmet Baskets and much more. Over 250 people looking to make a difference in the lives of these children are attending the fundraiser. This year, the event is expecting to raise over $150,000.00.

Casa Amor is a non-profit organization founded on the simple belief that food, shelter and education are basic human rights every child should enjoy, and that it is our duty to ensure they receive them. The group was founded by Maria Barroso and Maria Hernandez who saw first-hand the poverty and basic essentials missing from the lives of many orphaned children in the Dominican Republic.

The founders often traveled to the island for business purposes and realized there was a need to create an organization where funds and awareness would be raised to build shelters to house, feed and educate these children, one village at a time.

School Supply Drive for our kids in Dominican Republic !

We are having a school supply drive from now until July 30th, 2010. Please help us out with anything, folders, paper, pencils, bookbags (even used bookbags), notebooks or anything else you can think of and drop it off at 12860 NW S. Casa Amor’s Amore Fashion Show, major success !!

As you may have previously seen, Casa Amor did our first fundraiser in the manner of a fashion show. The fashion show dubbed “Amore Fashion Show” took place May 21st, 2010 at the Double Tree Hotel from 7:00 P.M.- 11:30 P.M. The event was composed of a silent auction, live band, scrumptious 3-course meal, and of course the fashion show ! The night’s entertainment was “Miami New Times” 2009 band of the year- Electric Piquete, also a live performance by one of Miami’s most beautiful, talented performers Ria, and of course the night was kept entertaining by music from Dj MV. Our gorgeous MC’s were Channel 10’s Laurie Jennings, and Radio Amor’s Roxana Garcia who really made this night a spectacular one. At the end of the night, we raised a total of over $100,000 !!!! We thank all of our supporters, sponsors, volunteers, and models for making this fundraiser a reality ! Casa Amor’s “Amore Fashion Show”

Join us for our annual fashion show to support us in start of our new Santo Domingo village ! All proceeds will go directly to our cause. Our night’s “Master of Ceremony” will be Channel 10’s Laurie Jennings. We will be having entertainment from local artist: Ria, and “Miami New Times” Band of the Year- Electric Piquete.
